Going Gaga Over – Cheeky Little Soles

Lisa Koba, Creative Director of Cheeky Little Soles has given Mini Gaga a sneak peak of her upcoming 2010/11 spring/summer collection, and you’ll find some patterns in her designs that are a first for Cheeky Little Soles, Lisa will be launching the collection at REED gift fare in Melbourne nest week.

When it comes to your precious baby, nothing but the very best will do.  And this rings true to their feet when selecting the footwear to put on your pre walking or first walking baby. The feet are a very complex part of our body. Did you know that babies feet are made up of 26 bones, 107 ligaments and19 muscles?!

Over the last decade pediatricians and parents have learned that hard soles and split hard shoes are not suitable for babies as they learn to walk. Babies feet are soft and pliable, and pressure from the wrong type of footwear may delay and hinder their development.  Pediatricians recommend that bare foot is best for tiny feet to grow and strengthen naturally, but as parents we know it is not always practical.  So…. soft soles are the next best thing!  Soft soles are extremely flexible and protective, they have wiggle room to allow freedom of movement to grow, grip and develop foot strength naturally.

Weil Baby Now Available

Friday, May 21st, 2010

Weil Baby is now available in Australia, Mini Gaga featured these bottles in February hereEcobabe has both the Tritan and glass bottles in stock. Here’s what we had to say about them.

The Weil Baby feeding products not only look super stylish and are baby safe (meaning no BPA and nontoxic) but they are by Dr Andrew Weil, apart from a list of medical achievements a mile long he graces the couches of Larry King, Oprah and the Today Show. Dr Weil also donates all of his earnings from Weil Baby Products sales and royalties directly to the Weil Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting integrative medicine through training, education and research.

The bottles are made from either glass or Tritan, the revoluationary material which is BPA free and contains no toxins. The Airwave Venting System which works effectively from the inside out to reduce colic. Using a moisture lock and four protrusions within the bottle neck provide a means for air to enter the bottle and the flexible inner ring of the nipple rests against the inside surface of the bottle neck. This allows air flow into the bottle but prevents fluid from leaking out. There are three types of Weil Baby bottles the nurser bottle, the trainer cup and the drinking cup.

Going Gaga Over – Think Twins

Monday, May 3rd, 2010

Silvercross

Martine Pekarsky, founder of twins specialist store, Think Twins, remembers the moment she and her husband were told during their 7wk scan that there were 'two heartbeats'. First it was sheer delight, then fear set in. At that point Martine says she wouldn't have known what to do with one baby, let alone two. It was the experiences Martine gained through her pregnancy and first year of the twins life that inspired the creation of Think Twins.

Many twin-mums-to-be will be given advice such as; be prepared, don't be afraid to ask for help and support, stay organised and join a twins club.  So Think Twins was created to help make twin mums and dads lives a little bit easier.  Think Twins not only provides practical and affordable products that help having newborn twins, but provides information and advice through their resource centre, such as a free twin pram buying guide, a list of twins clubs in Australia, and tips on decorating a twins nursery.
