What the Klop? Everybody’s doing it!! Log tossing fun for the whole family, originating in Finland, the woodsmen would carve blocks from the birch forest and chuck them around to break the silence. It’s as simple as tossing the chuck underarm to knock over the pegs, which are all numbered, first to 50 wins. Take to the park, the backyard, the beach you can klop just about anywhere, there is even photographic evidence of klopping taking place the Sydney Opera House.
I first showed you klop here and you can “like” clop on facebook.

Feeding kids can be a messy job. Keep it neat with Dandelion’s, easy-grip eco-friendly bowls and untensils made from corn! Tab edges and deep sides keep food where it belongs. Parents are more concerned that ever about what their babies eat from and the Dandelion natural tableware range is primarily made from corn bioplastic or PLA (unlike conventional plastic which is petroleum-based). PLA production requires less energy and generates fewer green house gases than conventional plastic. And corn is a natural, sustainable resource.

Every child wants to be boss of their own little space! This is the new recycled cardboard house from Kidsonroof! It is white, with windows, doors and a letter box. It is available in two colourways; nature print or white that you can decorate yourselves, let your children’s’ imagination run wild, as they create their very own space to be used as cubby, shop, hospital or wherever their imaginations can take them. The house is made from recycled paper – 100% bio degradable.
Kidsonroof is the result of teamwork between Romy Boesvelt and Ilya Yashin. Their principal source of inspiration comes from weekends spent in the natural environment around their mountain hut. And surrounded by their little blonde-haired children, the couple developed their collections. Ecology and protection of the environment are their main preoccupations, so all the products are produced in recycled cardboard. They also ensure that there’s plenty of opportunity for children’s own creativity: the building game in cardboard, a dragonfly to assemble, mushrooms pushing up from the foot of the tree, all the products in the Totem series can be mixed, matched and combined.

Weil Baby is now available in Australia, Mini Gaga featured these bottles in February here. Ecobabe has both the Tritan and glass bottles in stock. Here’s what we had to say about them.
The Weil Baby feeding products not only look super stylish and are baby safe (meaning no BPA and nontoxic) but they are by Dr Andrew Weil, apart from a list of medical achievements a mile long he graces the couches of Larry King, Oprah and the Today Show. Dr Weil also donates all of his earnings from Weil Baby Products sales and royalties directly to the Weil Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting integrative medicine through training, education and research.
The bottles are made from either glass or Tritan, the revoluationary material which is BPA free and contains no toxins. The Airwave Venting System which works effectively from the inside out to reduce colic. Using a moisture lock and four protrusions within the bottle neck provide a means for air to enter the bottle and the flexible inner ring of the nipple rests against the inside surface of the bottle neck. This allows air flow into the bottle but prevents fluid from leaking out. There are three types of Weil Baby bottles the nurser bottle, the trainer cup and the drinking cup.

As crayons are usually the first writing tool that a child will use, Barbara Lee DaBoll set about designing Crayon Rocks after being inspired by Occupational Therapist Jan Olsen, who explained the importance of developing the tripod grip at an early age. Made from non-toxic soy wax and other natural waxes including bee's, The colours are derived from minerals and the filler, which gives the crayon body is ground natural limestone, Crayon Rocks apply to page very easily, meaning no hard pressing on the page which results in tired fingers. You can teach your child the tripod grip by watching this clip, which uses a song to help them remember.
Crayon Rocks are available online at Tribe
